Updating April 28, 2012 --- It’s been a long road to recovery after my surgery. I developed a pancreatic leak right after surgery which required an endoscopy (which required general anesthesia) to put a couple of drains into my stomach. They couldn’t use external drains because of where the pocket of fluid was located. After I got home I developed pneumonia along with those drains plugging up along with another complication that required my local hospital to send me back to Rochester on a life flight plane. So after spending more than a month total in the hospital I was more than ready to get back to normal life as I knew it. But that didn’t happen. After everything that my body went through I developed fibromyalgia and the intense all over body pain has been hard for me to deal with. But I am on a fibro medication that does help. For the pain that still remains, prescription pain medication takes up the slack.
I’m still not back to myself yet but I have begun to make some bath soaps and other odds and ends. I’ve also just began making some changes on my websites. Because I offer a lot of scent choices for custom scented items, I’m splitting up the scent list into three listings instead of one that will be listed alphabetically. I’ve also had the “https” added to my checkout for when you use authorize.net using your credit card.
Until I feel I am more back to myself and I feel able to keep up with custom made orders I will be making products and listing them as ready-made items. These items will be ready to be mailed out immediately. The down side is that you may not get the scent selection that you desire. But I don’t want to get myself into a bind and not feel able to keep up with orders while I’m trying to get this fibromyalgia under control. I do have good days, but I still have enough days that I just plain hurt and I don’t get as much done as I want. I hope you understand.
